Chris Sessums is a poet based in Maine. His recent poems have appeared in The Threepenny Review, Chestnut Review, Rust & Moth, and River Heron Review.
Born in New York City, he grew up outside Tampa, Florida. He holds a BA in literature, a master’s degree in education, and a PhD in curriculum and instruction, all from the University of Florida, and has held faculty, research, and administrative positions at the University of Florida, the University of California, Berkeley, and Johns Hopkins University. He now works at Colby College in Waterville, Maine.
His poems are drawn to ordinary spaces where consequential things fail to get said.
